En Mass. -- [Rich]

17 girls are pregnant at a Gloucester, Massachusetts high school. One by a homeless man.

Why? Because they made a pact.

Now if only we could make committed marriage cool -- heterosexual that is -- this would be a happy little tale.

Someone needs to explain to these girls that when you have a baby, YOU'RE the one who needs to GIVE the unconditional love, it's not the other way around. This story is so sad. Someone really needs to talk to these girls, preferably the parents. But I guess if the parents were doing their job, you wouldn't have 17 15- and 16-year-olds knocked up because they thought it would be "neat" to have a baby.

I hope the children will be alright once the novelty wears off for these too-young mothers.

It's Massachusetts -- they could form a big polygamous lesbian "Big Love" family. Is lesbian polygamy enough to put these new babies in child protective custody because having dumbasses for Moms is totally insufficient.

Where were these girls when I went to high school? Oh yeah, on welfare and food stamps ...

At the rate they prosecute female sex offenders, I'm thinking that wouldn't work. About the only thing you would achieve is the mass locking of bathroom doors while every boy that high school got some extended "me time" thinking about it.

"Gloucester isn't sure it wants to provide easier access to birth control"

If a group of teens purposefully decides to have babies, it's not like offering them pills and condoms is doing any good...
